Hello Chris,

This is the type of info I pay you for! One of your best alerts in my opinion. The “out-of-left-field” info is the most valuable. Keep up the great work!
Tony

Man did you call it. WOW!
Marty

Hello Chris,

That is great news Chris, Thank you for the break in the subscription rate. I just added another year! I sure appreciate all the work, and excellent info that you put into your newsletters. You nail it all the time when others are clueless! Keep up the great work Chris, I really value your insights.

Best regards,
Bill

Hello From Switzerland. Love to read your articles taken on Kitco.

Yes, the world as we know of is unreveling to it's end. Here in Switzerland, some are getting ready - like the USA based gentleman J.W.Rawles, with retreats, storage of goods, sustainable foods, gardening, etc.

Even as an atheist, I can't but to contemplate the striking coincidences between scriptures in many cultures and religions - indeed as you write Christian book of revelations and Muslim Hadiths on the end of times - very striking...

All the best
Piero

You have a rare insight with quite a broad perspective, and I appreciate the complexity...and accuracy ...of the models of the world/history as you develop and share them.
Gary

Thanks. Would be interested in your updated views on tension in ME.
You have been spot on...well done.
Craig

I've been a subscriber for a number of years and am always impressed by your on target macro calls.
Anne

Certainly not easy judging future pricing. Excellent trading results based on your newsletter. Thanks.
Marty

Dear Chris;
I am always interested in your ideas, the bigger the better, and the forthright way you share them. You have your own inimitable style and it suits the ebb and flow of what you have to say. Therefore I always read your newsletter or alerts with anticipation and rarely am I disappointed.
Gratefully;
Jim

Chris, I just wanted to let you know that I have no idea what is going to happen in the future, but you are the only one I trust (whether you are right or wrong) that I feel comfortable reading, and (right or wrong) will follow your advice. It's possible you could miss it, but I do feel that you're the sharpest one out there. Keep up the good work. Denny

PS is enough for me. I like your percentage applied to risk of an event taking place approach. I read other opinions as well plus my own. Thing is you are usually more correct than me.....
Doug

I am a regular reader of very short duration (less than one year). I subscribe to quite a few financial newsletters. I like yours because you like to put your neck on the line with a forecast that include an event and a timeframe. Very rare.
FH

Thanks for your articles! The media in Europe is certainly not giving the information you give us.
Best regards,
Ard, Netherlands

Thanks Chris for your insightful commentary. As a subscriber, you have not only help me make money, but you have helped me to save tons of money.
Many thanks !!
G.

Chris,

Just thougth I would share... a colleague of mine came to me today alarmed by the headline below and all of its implications. I asked him what the big deal was and he said that this was big news to everyone and I told him ‘Nah, that's not new’. And then it occurred to me that it's not new to me because of your newsletters and alerts. Kind of a revelation to me of how much I learn from your work.

In a simple word, Thanks!!
Dave

Preach on, Chris. Thanks for the biblical prophecy comments this week. I agree with your reasoning on why you put it in, why it is important to watch, and how it can come down. Thanks for stepping out there. Don’t ever get in the box!!!

Regards
-KM

Hey Chris,

Thanks so much for the extention on my renewal. Ive learned a lot following your work and analysis.

If I had not come into contact with your work, I would have been too overexposed to equities, and underexposed to precious metals and cash! So thanks again.
-David

Hi Chris....

Your concise letter format is a quick read and the current letter is why I am pleased to be a subscriber....The thoughtful message doesn't quibble with your view about various markets, it is direct. Other letters that I have followed and subscribed to seem to cover their A** by proclaiming a host of investments will either go up ..or down... or stay the same to be able to claim to be right ALL the time.....

The future and your thoughts about any possibilities that seem on track will be well received by me... Any guidance or suggestions that you have are viewed and considered as an alert....

Thank You,
Jeris

Chris,

The future stuff and the subjects you are discussing in this most recent newsletter is not specifically the reason i subscribe but I do like it. It has been a subject of great interest to me for a long time and I apreciate your views, comments and predictions.

I subscribe because I trade and invest and your big picture market comment and alerts are the most accurate I know of but all the other stuff is good too. For eg all the stuff about how to prepare for bank holidays etc..

It's all good !!

Best
Nick

Chris,

Really an outstanding idea! I think your practical advice is a great benefit to subscribers, ranking right up there with your "big picture" analyses.
Thanks.
Dan

Hi Chris,
You have written several articles that are very beneficial to me. This one so far is the greatest!
After studying your letter today, I looked at my asset configuration and find am over weighted on the metals by about 20% and after applying some cowboy arithmetic find that the overweight is mostly being a bit greedy on my part and in adjusting to your proposed 50/50 ratio with the USD and leaving me more gunpowder for future opportunities, I think I will fret much less about these swings. Thanks again and wishing you the best.
-Don

After reading your newsletter this weekend the thought went through my head that i wanted to tell you that your letters / alerts are worth their weight in gold to me !!! i know that doesnt make sense as they are 'email' which has no weight !! ..but I'm sure you catch my drift !!
Thanks so much
Nick

Here's Chris Laird's latest Newsletter!! It's a real dandy!! I really pay attention to this guy!! More than anyone else, he seems to have his finger on the right pulses and seems to get things right 75% to 95% of the time. He calls things way ahead of anyone.
-Frank

Thanks Chris,
I already read it. When I don't have a note in my e-mail, I go looking for your articles on Kitco.
Prudent squirrel has saved me hundreds of thousands of dollars; and has probably saved our lives from starvation by recommending storage food and preparations for the inevitable. One time you said "sell your stocks today;" and I hesitated and sold a day or two later, and lost a couple thousand for not following your timely advice and selling THAT DAY. You are wise, accurate, reasonable, comprehensive, timely, prescient, and an enormously important help to us and our loved ones. We now have the comfort of doing what we can, while we still can. I tell everyone about the Prudent Squirrel newsletter. Thanks Chris.
-Perry

Dear Chris,
First I want to thank you for your excellent newsletter. It is the #1 reason we did not lose our rear in the recent market crash. You sometimes talk about some real doom and gloom stuff. This is OK because it makes me think about things I normally would not think about.
-Dan

Chris:
I love your prompt, attentive responses. It is an example of customer service excellence and dedication. That alone makes your service worth much more to me than others. It makes me feel highly valued as a customer.
I thank you for that.
Michael

As a testimonial, I can tell you that my modus operandi is to read every free article I find on the various Austrian oriented sites. If the free articles manifest themselves over several years, I will take a short subscription and if I find that valuable , I maintain it. Your scenario has been very congruent with that of Bill Laggner and has been spot on to the highest degree humanly possible.
thanks, Bob

Thank you for your insights. They are greatly appreciated. I have been flat, thanks to you.
Love and light, Susan

By surfing the web I came across your website and found its contents very interesting, since it is not mainstream news, but thoroughly investigated information, which I hardly can get somewhere else. - W

I continue to really value your newsletter. Just extended to Dec. 2009. I read a lot of newsletters maybe 10 along with a lot of articles. There are just a few of you in my opinion that sees the enormity of the convulsion that is occuring right before our eyes but frankly I think you have a more comphrehensive viewpoint than the others. A few see the stock market crash coming or other large portions of the problem, but you seem to bring the total picture into focus.
Max

Hi Chris.

Greetings from the Emerald Isle where as you know things are bad and getting worse by the week. I feel we are living in the calm before the storm. I love your newsletter and warnings because they give people like me an insight into what is really going on in this crazy world of ours.

Thank God for skilled people like you who are honest and tell it how it is. Also, your advice is spot on and definitely helped me and my family prepare for the tsunami that cuold well be about to engulf us.
Ian

Dear Chris,

I have been a regualar subsiber of your newsletter for almost 3 years. I had recently changed my User Id as subscription got lapsed when I was travelling.

I must commit that I have been extremely lucky to subscibe to the news letter which has given me access to information which is otherwise difficult to access in India here. One special mention on one of your news letter last year where you warned about rising food prices globally. It was very impressive. When all of us here where euphoric about growth here and were considering various investment options I suggested everyone investment in precious metals and especially to stay invested in food grains and to maintain adequate stocks. That was wonderful and lot of people here were amazed about my source of information on food prices especially. I would like to mention that I am a commodity broker and member of leading commodity futures exchanges here in India.

I appreciate you for your indepth analysis of global macro economic situation and especially precious metals. I shall continue to subscribe the same in future. Now I am eagerly waiting to read your continuous analysis on current global situation and its implications it will have on precious metal prices.

Looking forward for your coninuous guidance. ... Amit

Chris -
As a member here in HK, most of my holdings were in local and Chinese stocks. I did take partial profits and tightened stops (mental) in most of my Chinese companies after your article last Oct, and mostly out of them by early this year when you gave a major sell signal on the $SPX. I did not participate in the Nasdaq market, so, to watch the meltdown in the Chinese market is a first time experience for me. It is unbelievable. You mentioned in the Oct article that a major correction can take Shanghai down to 2400, well, it is at 2800 now. Do you see a bottom soon? Some analysts are suggesting a bottom because Chinese stocks are now very undervalued.

I appreciate all your alerts. It helps me see through all the smoke and mirrors about 3 to 7 days before the media or even most other newsletters start to comment on it. (I subscribe to 6 other newsletters incidently} Also even a few of the newsletters that do comment quickly usually have a new product to sell along with the timely information so there can be a little bias there even. So you are one of the very few that keep me up to date in what I would call a pure fashion,i.e. with no string attached.
Max

Chris,
I saved your article from Feb. 22, 2007, "First Inflation then Deflation? - Financial Crash," because it seemed like a very intelligent projection. I re-read it, recently, and were you ever on target. Took your advise then, along with that of Richard Russell and Doug Casey, and positioned accordingly, so I've pretty much escaped the disaster, except for being saddled with millions in additional debt by Congress. I'm now a subscriber of yours, too, and look forward to your continuing guidance... Bill

Chris,
You were absolutely right. Financials falling like flies. Stocks crashing. Gold mining stocks have been no safe haven. Gold only just hanging in there. USD defiantly up (so far). Thankfully I kept a good portion of my assets aside just in case. My primary concern now, is that you continue to be right about even a fraction of everything else. Lets all hope not.

Thanks for a great site in turbulent times. You and Mike Shedlock are the few sources of reality-based info in a sea of PR and propaganda.
Kevin

Chris,
Your comments regarding markets are weighed very seriously. We always appreciate people who can think outside the box. Most people that comment are just charting trends (which anyone can do) and not thinking about what's actually influencing the markets.
Charlie

Ding, ding ding!
We have a winner.
Chris, Your insight is as uncanny as it is rare. Your understanding of the current market situation and your accurate integration of the data available makes you a rare commodity indeed. Thank you for your effort and for the time you take to attempt to help people understand the reality of the current situation.
I read maybe 50 financial authors. I look forward to yours the most.
Best Regards,
Rod

Chris,
Count me among the readers who look forward to your "big picture" topics, including food related issues. Your macro view is an exceedingly rare find among today's writers, making it all the more valuable. Obviously these issues have a huge impact on personal investing, money management, and future net worth. As such, I can't imagine why anyone would object to this thorough analysis. Gold writers are a dime a dozen, and if I want to read comforting thoughts from a gold perma-bull during any given drop in price I can easily do that elsewhere. I appreciate your breadth and depth of coverage and consider my money spent here well wort it. Keep up the good work.
Rodney

Hi Chris
Just to say, as a new subscriber who has been investing for 14 years and who subscribes to around 20 newsletters (I try to take the best ideas from each!), I really like the little alerts you send out. Other writers do send them out occasionally but not to the extent you do. Particularly appropriate in these increasingly volatile markets, and good calls too.
Philip

Chris,
You have one of the best investment newsletters around. Yet I did not subscribe for a long time because the name "Prudent Squirrel" did not seem so professional and timely as it is. I thought it was just some "gold bug" newsletter limited to storing gold and silver bullion at home and maybe articles about where to buy survival gear/food...
Carl

Dear Chris,
Your alerts are fantastic; keep it up, especially on gold and its short term direction. I trade gold on the forex markets so your input has been a great help as markets are very volatile at present.
Aslam

Hey, I'm a new subscriber. Saw your report on yahoo finance message board and liked it.
I like all your daily alerts like the one below - truly good value.
Things change so quickly I am depending on your service for quick confirmations, especially tomorrow- to see if there is going to be a reversal or dead cat bounce.
David

"I appreciate your integrity in bringing out what you perceive to be the situation even if it flies in the face of conventional wisdom. It is bound to be unpopular. Even resented. So keep up the exceptionally good work and gives us the truth as you see it. It is really a high state of service.
Sincerely, Max"

Chris,
This year you have done an amazing job of keeping us informed, and in keeping our investments out of harms way. ... is incredibly valuable.
Thank You! Best regards,
Frederick

Hello Chris
Thanks for your hard work and inisghts, I have read a number of people through the years but nobody has made as much effort as you to keep my portfolio from damage, which in the present climate is far superior to returns.
Much appreciated. Thanks again, Paul

Chris,
thanks for all your up to date Alerts. You are the only NL I subscribe to that does such an in depth alert mailing. Thanks again, I'll always be a Subscriber. Keep it up, most helpful.
Rick

You were one of only a few, (and I mean a few) who were talking and warning about these issues and the things to come that are now unfolding right before our eyes.
Your work is very much appreciated.
Thanks

Chris,
Thanks for keeping us all up to date with your alerts in the past several weeks.
I just renewed my subscription – it’s an invaluable word of truth in today’s “hyped” media.
Dennis

Good call, Chris
You are a controversial figure over on the Daily Reckoning website but you called this crunch months ago and while there will be zigs and zags, it is not going away for a very long time.
John

Chris, you've been bang on with your analysis all year. I regard your newsletter and alerts as my window to the truth. God knows the governments, in times like this, won't be enlightening us with what is really happening. Even some of my other gold/uranium bulls aren't talking much about a liquidity crisis that is happening before our very eyes. - Grant

Chris,
I'm glad you sent the alert. Wednesday I started selling and this morning I bailed entirely out of the market. Thank you. You saved me skin. Now I'm waiting for the dust to settle. Might be a while.
Gerold

I have read your articles as they have been made available to the public. I would like to congratulate you on your call of going to cash. I came to the same conclusion and sold my gold/silver stocks recently before the decline but I did waver once or twice since there were so many articles written proclaiming an "imminent gold breakout to the upside!". I have been in gold/silver markets since 1998 and this was a hard decision to make. Your stance and one or two other analysts helped to keep my head focused on the right things. I have been an investor for 40 years and this was one of my best calls if not one of the most difficult. Keep up the good work. There are a lot of people out there with less understanding than myself who need even more help. These are very dangerous times. - D

Great Call- All too often we write when we disagree with newsletter viewpoints but I have to say of all the material I read in a week you have been dead on with your analysis. Case in point, the price of gold has fallen just as you predicted it would when most of the very wise and knowledgeable gold and silver bulls have been screaming, buy, buy, and buy. You on the other hand have cautioned, not yet, not yet, not yet... Tim

For the record, you have hit the ball right out of the park on your carry trade call. Excellent work, and excellent fortitude sticking to your conviction/beliefs. Steve

Congratulations Chris for your success in the newsletter business.. my brother also subscribed on my recommendation.. your being highly analytical and to make great calls are your strong points - keep it up.. Mateo

Hi Chris,
It's hard not to get through a newsletter of yours without wanting to thank you. I've subscribed to more newsletters than I'd like to admit, but yours is very special, very smart. Thanks, Mark

"If these stats are true we may very well see what you foresee in your article. I like the way you stick your neck out and call it like you see it. Regards/Peter"

"I value your opinion a great deal. You tell it like it is and your analysis is thorough and spot on.", Jeff

"I, for one am very grateful for you "telling it like it is" concerning what is going on currently in the gold, silver and overall commodities sector.... Your last article was more valuable, informative and genuinely useful than all the others I had read the same day. My main point is, we need your unbiased, contrarian voice for times like this. Believe me, I am the last person who wants to hear about any delay in the "gold express" train to the moon, but the first to say "Wow! I hadn't thought of it that way, I'll have to adjust accordingly". Thank you for your bold and knowledgable commentary! Sincerely, Robert

"Dear Chris,
I'm a new subscriber.
I appreciate and agree with (most of) your insights. You certainly see far into the future and have an ability to discern and filter out noise....Peter"

"Chris
Your newsletter is great and I am learning alot from you on how these markets work especially the currency markets. I have always wanted to find a letter that emphasises the macro view point, which is what I have always looked at, instead of the micro analyses that are so prevalent. Steve"

" You and Bill Murphy, and Hat Trick are my elites and I've read A LOT! Thanks! C"

I just appreciate Mr. Laird's integrity because I have spent hours and hours searching every website and all these guys are blindly bullish. He is the only one who has the guts to tell the truth. Keep up the good work. Anne

"Hi Chris. I have been reading your articles at Gold_Eagle for some time and feel that you hit the nail on the head more often that almost any of the professional writers/financial advisors on the internet. Your article entitled "Subsistence Crisis" was the first that had impacted me in a long time. And your current "Debt Offset Inflation" also hammers home the hard realities of present and coming difficulties. I went back through your archives of articles and read them. A great body of work." David

" There's only a few writers and commentaries I regularly read, usually from the oldest geezers :) Yours seems to be one of the better more insightful newer ones. Keep up the good work. Mike "

"Hi, just subscribed for 6 months as i liked your 'what are you after' article. i have followed russell avidly and you and he have much in common... thanks, Don. - house is paid off."

"Your weekly letters are just like I had envisioned them when I subscribed. They really make me think. This weeks was the best yet. Wouldn't change a thing. God bless, John"

Hi Chris,
That is one scary letter you wrote! Scary, but realistic! Are we really THAT bad off?
